Why Eat 100 Foods?
The concept behind Eat 100 Foods is simply to increase the nutrients in your diet!
The average American eats 18 to 22 “real foods”, this includes only 8 veggies and a whole lot of processed junk food. By “real foods” I mean food that has been processed or refined as little as possible and is free from additives or other artificial substances. Real foods or whole foods are single ingredient foods like: chicken, steak, onions, carrots, pecans, and pinto beans, etc, The terms “real foods” and “whole foods” are interchangeable, they have the same meaning.
Eating the same foods daily promotes food boredom and can create allergies to certain foods. When we increase the variety of fresh whole foods we eat, we increase the nutrients we consume. My own personal goal is to eat 100 different real or whole foods. I want to bring awareness to the many different varieties of vegetables, grains and meats that are available that we simply don’t eat. I want you to have the confidence to walk down the grocery aisle, grab a new, unique or uncharted piece of produce and know you have the skill to create a delicious meal!
Using the knowledge I learned at Nutrition and Culinary Schools, I’m devoted to creating healthy meals for my clients, many are on their own healing journey and I love sharing whole food recipes on my website. Real Food is delicious!

While in school for Nutrition I realized that each health condition we studied came back to the same basic diet of eating fresh whole foods while avoiding chemicals and additives. The only way to know what you are eating is to make it yourself. So, I then enrolled in the culinary program at NTI. I now make almost all of the food that my family eats and I know this is the best way to promote the health of myself and my family.
My journey to Nutrition started differently than most. I was an active mother of two, living my everyday life when I wound up in the hospital on oxygen, gasping and struggling for each sliver of breath. I was diagnosed with asthma, prescribed steroids and sent on my way. Being in the day-and-age of WebMD and Google I began to research the side effects of steroids, only to realize that such a commonly prescribed drug had some fierce and utterly terrifying side-effects. After extensive research I opted to go the the Alternative Health route and explore Healing through Nutrition. Within weeks I was enrolled in Nutrition Classes at Nutrition Therapy Institute in Denver, Colorado. I quickly realized health, illness, life, it all begins with food, the fuel we put in our bodies. Since my diagnosis I have healed my asthma by changing my diet and my lifestyle.

I have been able to heal my body, feel better and have energy thanks to the healing benefits of healthy, natural real food. But more importantly, I am able to help other feel amazing and heal their bodies with my personal chef services. I started Eat 100 Foods, Personal Chef Services in 2014.
